HelloPay is disgusting!

HelloPay is a newly launched online payment portal which can be used to pay orders from Lazada.

About two weeks ago, they also launched sign-up and referral promo wherein, an account may earn Php150.00 upon registration and another Php250.00 for each person who enters thru their direct referral link. That was a great opportunity to try out something new with online shopping so I shared my link and earned two referrals. That added php500.00 more to my account.

I then bought cookware set to Lazada and I paid through HelloPay using the credits that was available in my account. A day or two, HelloPay emailed me that my order was canceled without even explaining why. My two referrals, ordered from Lazada too and paid the orders thru HelloPay but unfortunately, theirs were also canceled. 

I was, no, we were so disappointed. I tried to log in my account but I can't. The site said I can't log in due to security reasons. I emailed them regarding my problems  but no reply yet...

Pres. Obama in Manila for the Second Time

It's confirmed that Pres. Barack Obama is attending the APEC Summit in Manila on November 18-19, 2015. This will be the second time he will be visting the Philippines. His first Philippine trip was in April last year, where he witnessed the signing of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA). 

Can we expect better ties between the members of the APEC this time? Will the current issues involving Asian countries especially the dispute between China and the Philippines be settled? Will this create positive impact on the Philippine economy?

While many are overwhelmed of his presence, let's all expect militant groups and activists are also getting ready for their own activities against his visit...

Etude House vs Lazada

On Wednesday, October 21, 2015, Etude House released this post on their Facebook page : 

"We have not consented to any sale of such products by Lazada.com.ph and and is not in any way connected with the website and therefore cannot guarantee the authenticity and/or genuineness of the product sold by the said website.

In connection with this, Rosa Fiore House Corporation had filed criminal charges against the responsible corporate officers of LAZADA.com.ph for violations of Sections 155, 168 and 169 of the Intellectual Property Code due to the selling and/or facilitating the sale of fake and/or counterfeit Etude House of Korea product before the Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati which had been docketed as NPS DOCKET NO. XV-05-INV-15G2846."

Etude House is a South Korean cosmetics brand owned by Amore Pacific. It was launched in the Philippines in 2009, and now has more than 40 stores nationwide.

Lazada Group, on the other hand, is a privately owned e-commerce company headquartered in Singapore that was founded by Rocket Internet in 2011 with

the goal of being “the Amazon.com of Southeast Asia.”

As of the moment, no more Etude products can be found at Lazada and Lazada has not yet released its official statement regarding the issue.

Duterte says NO

Supporters of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte were all frustrated when he announced that he is not running for presidency and instead filed for a reelection.

Despite the massive calls and appeals for him to run for president, Duterte says NO and stated that the country does not need him as a president and he does not find the need for it, too.

Now I admire this man for his "palabra de honor."

We can still recall some months ago, that he said no on running for presidency then went silent about it afterwards. The speculations have just ended when his chief-of-staff and the Davao City Administrator filed COC for mayor on his behalf today. 

But his supporters, especially those who shaved their heads to show their support to him, are not loosing hope. 

Tomorrow will be the last day for filing of the COC...

My 14 Day BFF Foodie Trip with Metamucil
