They are, in fact, the prime epitome of a caregiver.
But even carers need caring. And honestly, they are the ones who need it most.
What we know is this: The reason why Skype and Messenger are one of the most used apps by OFWs is because these somehow make them feel like they never left. It is their temporary remedy for longing and missing out. Still, it falls short in making them feel the care and love from home–– especially at a time like Christmas.
And we thought, if Home would make their Christmas, yet they could not come home for it, let us send home to them. The previous Type Kita exhibits offered visitors with an incredible showcase of local typographic art pieces, on-the-spot workshops by some of the country’s well-known hand-letterers and calligraphers, and for the bargain hunters, a slew of handmade crafts and printed goods from local entrepreneurs.
The 3rd Type Kita exhibit promises to be even bigger than before, with over 60 participating exhibitors and artists sharing their talent for this event-for-a-cause.
Set during the holiday season, the Type KitaExhibit will serve as a big Christmas gathering for type enthusiasts around the metro! With live art, demos, art trade and gift giving activities, it’s the perfect holiday feast for type lovers!

Little Lights: Finalist for MMFF Animation Category
Manila, Philippines – “Little Lights” is a story about being born with a lack of light. More importantly, it shows what happens when we, as individuals and as a community, discover what it means to be empowered by our differences and similarities.
Told using a combination of unique visual and musical artistry, Little Lights aims to inspire others to find their own light and to not be afraid to share it.
Little Lights is a passion project that started with two artists, Rivelle Mallari and Reginald Espiritu, who envisioned telling a story by combining the art of animation and a live musical scoring.
Now, the Animation film is made available again to be seen in selected theatre this December. (Pls. see screening details below)
About the Director:
Rivelle Mallari is a magna cum laude graduate of University of the Philippines Diliman in Bachelor in Arts in Film and Audio Visual Communication. Ever since, she loves arts specifically animated films
About the MMDA New Wave Section
Mr. Emerson Carlos, Chairman of MMDA, supports the MMFF’s New Wave Section and believes that this will create a venue for promising filmmakers to showcase their creativity and their talents.
