In every household, there is at least one gaming console provided for the kids and the kids-at-heart. In this age of technology where a lot of things are keeping everyone busy - work, studies, any passions in life - we need sometime to relax and one of the best ways is to play the gaming console. In our home, we have Xbox One as one of the sources for home entertainment. Our gaming console is being used at least 2 hours every other day by 3 to 5 people. The LG G5 is definitely the best and the most ambitious phone in the market today. Physically, the G5 doesn't look and feel premium, at first glance, as compared to its competitors. It is not as charming, not as eye catching as the previous LG models but it is boasting with great specs and features - excellent camera - 16mp main & 8mp secondary, 32 gb internal RAM & microSD slot up to 256gb, fast battery charging at 80% in 30 minutes, LTE capable, sensors, etc - what more can we ask for? Publishing giant Lampara Publishing House teams up with the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) for the fifth consecutive year to bring this one-of-a-kind experience for kids. The storytelling competition is coupled with creative workshops designed to enhance the participants’ storytelling and performance skills.The whole competition then becomes a journey of learning, self-discovery and the exciting process of story-telling to regale audiences with some of the most loved and value-laden children’s tales!
Kids learn how to be comfortable on stage with exercises taught by PETA artist-teachers.
PETA workshops are designed to integrate learning with fun
moments to encourage full and active participation from all workshoppers.
PETA’s School of People’s Theater designs the workshops to include both participant and coach. After the workshop slated September 2, 2016, ten (10) finalists will be chosen for each category based on the skill they have shown during the performance showcase at the end of the workshop.Category A is for children Grades 1-4 and Category B for children Grades 5-7. Each school is encouraged to have 3 participants per category.Finalists will be announced on September 5, 2016.

finalists will perform their assigned pieces on September 16, 2016 at the
Manila International Book Fest at the SM Mall of Asia SMX Convention Center for
the Finals
At
the end of the competition, participants will have gained not only storytelling
skills and a memorable experience but also new friends!
A second round of workshops will be conducted on September 9, 2016 for the finalists to fully bring the stories alive during the Grand Finals at the Manila International Book Fest on September 16, 2016 at the SM Mall of Asia SMX Convention Center. The top three winners will receive P 15,000.00, P 10,000.00 and P 7,000.00 respectively. They will also receive trophies, certificates and gift packs from Lampara Publishing House, Inc.
Let the kids discover the wonderful world of stories and storytelling and watch them soar.

Ballet originated in the 15th Century Italian Renaissance Courts and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia. It has been globally influential and has been the foundation of other dance genres.
According to history, ballet in the Philippines started in 1969. Today, the Halili-Cruz School of Ballet (HCSB) has been considered as one of the best ballet schools in the country. It has been awarded as the “Most Outstanding Ballet School in Asia” from 2000 to the present.
The school has successfully represented the Philippines in different international festivals and competitions in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Brunei, South Korea, Russia, England and the USA.
The main studio can be found at 1227 Quezon Avenue, Quezon City, Philippines. That house has 5 studios with a total dance floor of 550 square meters and a vast quadrangle where kids and parents can hang out. HCSB has branches at Saint Pedro Poveda College, Miriam College, Saint Mary's College and Alabang Country Club.
The achievements of the Halili-Cruz School of Ballet is under the leadership of its founder, multi-awarded Artistic Director, Shirley Halili-Cruz, together with the strong support of its equally outstanding Associate Artistic Directors, Grace Garalde-Perez, Anna Kathrina Halili Cruz-Bueno.
To date the Halili-Cruz School of Ballet has garnered more than 300 national and international awards and prizes, among them are:
· Hall of Fame, Aliw Award as Best Classical Dance Company in the Philippines

WebGeek DevCup Hackathon is now in its fifth year and is set to take place on August 20-21, 2016 at the Meralco Multi-purpose Hall in Ortigas.
DevCup aims to bring together amazing developers, designers, and technology professionals to create innovative apps and showcase the Philippine developer talent.
Participants are provided with a theme in which they must develop their app and they are given two days to complete their app to be presented to the judges.
In 2015, 70 teams battled it out for the DevCup championship title. Of the 70 registered teams, 60 apps were presented at the end of the event for the judges to select. The winning team of Jose Marco Padillo, Giovanni Angelo Balaguer and Micah Andrew Bule of Cynder, presented their app First Response which provides crowdsourced notifications for information dissemination during a disaster or calamity. On second place were Jezer Crespo, Marc Levinson B. Suarez, Reynaldo Del Rosario Jr of Xudoer with Xonar and CodeBuddy was third place with Connectify, with members Patrick Ofilada and Rommel David.
Early bird registration opens on July 18 until the 20. You can sign up as an individual, or up to a maximum of three as a team. Last year, tickets were sold out in just 2 days. Better to register early, as the event only have limited slots.
