QURE : A teleconsultation and wellness website made by Filipinos for Filipinos

Last October, a teleconsult website that promises to make medical consultations easy and convenient for many Filipinos was launched. 

An all-Filipino-made website, QURE.ph provides a platform for online video consultations. It connects doctors and patients for easy scheduling of appointments, and makes available a directory of pharmacies and other health and wellness providers. It also offers a free platform for doctors who want to expand their services via teleconsult amid increasing demand for virtual consultation.

According to Gary Libby, QURE Chief Technology Officer, the platform was created with the Filipino patient in mind. It’s a simple website and it does not complicate the teleconsultation process. Even those not comfortable with technology will find these consultations easy to do. "This is our new normal and QURE is here to help you navigate the future of healthcare,” he added. 

As the COVID pandemic persists, going to the hospital may also be burdensome nowadays; but QURE is here to help Filipinos find their way through this public health crisis while keeping their health in check.

QURE will definitely benefit doctors and patients. No more overbooking for doctors, and no more long lines for patients waiting for their turn at clinics. Whether via teleconsult or face-to-face check-ups, the scheduling system of QURE helps both patients and doctors.

SANOFI celebrates WORLD HEART DAY by Highlighting the Empower Program for Hypertension

September 29 is World Heart Day all around the globe. 

More than just a celebration, World Heart Day was established in the hopes that it could reach more people and be able to spread awareness about the perils of heart diseases and stroke.

Sanofi recognizes that this is a unique time to be worried about heart health and learn more about the steps that should be taken to ensure risk-free living, especially under a cloud of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s heartbreaking to see those with comorbidities battle a critical to severe form of the virus- forcing them to put their lives on hold, be isolated from family, friends and people who matters most to them,” Amal Makhloufi Benchouk, the Philippines Country Lead for Sanofi, shared in her opening remarks.

Statistics have shown that 7 out of 10 people are diagnosed with hypertension, and 2 out of 10 hypertension patients die. Sanofi continues to respond to the challenge of dealing with comorbidities during this time, by emphasizing the need to address the lack of awareness and limited access to cardiovascular disease management. 

“Cardiovascular Disease remains the number 1 killer in the world, resulting in about 18.6 Million deaths worldwide and over 520 million people globally living with cardiovascular disease that has been disproportionately affected by the pandemic,” she remarked.

Sanofi’s mission has led them to create the Empower Hypertension Program, which aims to deliver awareness, prevention, and management to patients. The program provides enlisted patients with free coaching sessions led by nurse educators to arm them with information that tackles myths and facts about the disease, among others.

Sanofi has also partnered with Omron, a leading medical electronics company, to extend a 20% to 25% discount to patients, encouraging them to procure the technology in order to monitor their blood pressure regularly.

KNOWLEDGE CHANNEL returns to Digital TV right in time for the WORLD TEACHER'S DAY

More students, educators, and parents nationwide can now access quality educational programs as Knowledge Channel returns to digital TV starting on World Teacher's Day this Tuesday (October 5) via its partnership with the broadcast company BEAM.

 

The iconic educational programs of Knowledge Channel are now available again in Mega Manila, Baguio, Naga, Metro Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, and Zamboanga to aid young Filipinos in their distance learning education this pandemic. Viewers can access Knowledge Channel via BEAM DTT by simply doing a channel rescan on any digital TV box.  

Dubbed as the "biggest classroom on-air," ETV-pioneer Knowledge Channel will now reach over 10 million Pinoy households, providing them over 1,500 video lessons from Kinder to Grade 10 and the Alternative Learning System and programs hosted by media personalities such as Robi Domingo, Enchong Dee and MayMay Entrata, and online educators Lyqa Maravilla and Peter Esperanza through digital, cable, and direct-to-home satellite TV. 

 

Knowledge Channel continues to bring quality learning to every Filipino child this school year 2021–2022.
