Dance for Health is the annual dance battle launched by Healthway Medical to encourage corporations to join its advocacy in promoting a healthy lifestyle among Filipino employees. According to Carmie De Leon, vice president for sales and marketing of Healthway Medical, employers need to put a premium on their employees’ health for them to become more productive at work and at home. “Being healthy brings a lot of advantages not only to individuals but also to the whole workforce,” De Leon said. “That’s why when we launched the Dance for Health, we had corporations in mind—we want employers to put value on the health benefits of exercising and how this activity can improve their employees’ productivity.” De Leon said that the Dance For Health competition was first launched to celebrate the company’s anniversary. Now, “we decided to make it a full-blown advocacy for Healthway to easily reach out to corporations and encourage them to move to a healthier lifestyle.”
