What is Incontinence?
Incontinence is inability to control excretory functions. It is a problem in urine discharge (urinary incontinence) or bowel movement (faecal or bowel incontinence) which might affect anyone at any age, depending on health conditions or life events that happened to a person.
We don't hear the word so often and we might think that it's not that serious, but no. Incontinence has a great impact on social, work and personal life of the person affected. It can cause depression which might lead to a more serious problem if left untreated. It decreases quality of life that is why it is best to seek help from a health professional so the patient can still live a normal life, even with incontinence.
How aware are you about this problem? Here's a simple survey to give you a better idea about incontinence. Please feel free to answer and also share to others to increase their awareness.
