Experience Pinoy Feast in Chef Laudicos Feast Pampanga

Sometime in June 2013, we had a buffet lunch in Guevarra's by Chef Laudico in San Juan City, with my husband and kids. I was really amazed by the variety of traditional and modern Filipino dishes that are lined up - from appetizers, to the main course and desserts and drinks, for the old and the young ones. What really surprised me is that the place was almost filled up when we arrived at around 12 noon and I started to wonder why, since that was a weekday. The question that puzzled me was answered when we finished one of the most excellent dining experience we've had back then....

Guevarra's in San Juan City, a 1920's heritage house restaurant and events place

Since then, I became a fan of the Laudico's. I just love how authentic the taste of their dishes is; that's why I was really very thankful that after 3 years, I got to taste their dishes and specialties once again, in their newest place Chef Laudico's Feast in SM City Clark Pampanga.

Yes, I never mind traveling north (considering I am from the south) with my 2-year-old son, just to spend some hours with my favorite chefs - Jackie and Roland Laudico. The place was inspired by a traditional feast in the province, you can see images of banderitas on the ceiling and on the upper part of the wall are accents of the local sleeping mats called banig, the one handwoven from buri. Over-all the ambiance is friendly, lively and very Pinoy-inspired.

The concept is all about the Filipino's love for fiestas. Chef Jackie, as a certified probinsyana (she came from Iloilo), wants every guest to feel the hospitality and the authenticity of our country's fiesta culture and celebration wherein cooks start cooking from scratch. They want to promote a place for local and international dishes free from instant seasonings or magical powdered chemicals as a way of making the dishes more flavorful. Chefs Jackie and Roland believe that as professional chefs, it is their duty to provide people the heritage of the food. Basically, they source their ingredients from local suppliers and if not available inside the country, that is the only time they import. It is their principle not to hide the real flavors of the food, no shortcuts in cooking. They promote respect to the quality of the ingredients and the preservation of the true Filipino flavor.

What differs Chef Laudico's Feast from their other restaurants is that the dishes they serve here are fusion of local and international cuisines - Japanese, Korean, Chinese, American, Italian, Spanish & more. They will serve you over a hundred dishes on a buffet lunch or dinner, some of the dishes you can't find in their restos around the metro.

Here are some of the dishes from the new home of their food masterpieces...

Japanese section - maki, sushi, etc
I really loved the wasabi, it's pure but not too spicy...

Meats - Bagnet, roasted Angus beef and more!

Deep-fried - tempura, crunchy lumpia etc.

Cheese and sandwiches

home-made kesong puti

Sweets, deserts, fresh fruits and many more!

Chef Jackie is the one in-charge for the deserts and sweets

Seafoods and a lot more!

I love sea foods and anything Japanese that why I really enjoyed their maki and sushi and the crabs and shrimps, but what surprised me a lot was the grilled Tuna. It was really sweet and mouthwatering, tastes like it was just freshly caught and cooked alive!

These are just "teaser" of what to expect from Chef Laudico's Feast. Once you visited the place, you will drool over the palatable dishes that they serve. They almost have everything you need to satisfy your cravings for real good food.

Watch Chefs Jac and Roland invite everyone to come and visit their newest venture in the north!
