Keep Your House Clean with This Handy Schedule

by , in
One of the biggest favors you could to for yourself and your household, is to make a well organized cleaning schedule. Even though it might be hard sometimes to decide on what your priorities should be, having a schedule will help you in a multitude of ways. Instead of having to do a cleaning marathon once a week, a schedule will allow you to keep your home neat and tidy without having to waste your whole day on it. Short and daily power cleans are the perfect solution for people who are struggling to find the time for tidying up. We are here to make your life much easier by giving you that schedule! Follow these simple rules, and you will be on your way to having a gleaming home in a matter of days.

There are a few ways in which you could organize your cleaning schedule. We will present you with one of the most efficient ones.

DAILY, MONTHLY AND YEARLY TASK

One way to organize your schedule is to make a list of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tasks. By doing this, you will not have to worry about a dozen things, and your mind will only be focused on the task at hand.

DAILY TASKS

For yours and your family's sake, there are some tasks that need to be done on a day to day basis in order to prevent any health hazards from coming to life.

1. Make your bed. Come on, this takes a few seconds of your time, but it makes a huge impact on the perception of how clean the bedroom looks.

2. Do the dishes. Try not to procrastinate. Nowadays, in the era of dishwashers, cleaning them has never been simpler. You could turn it into a nightly habit. Every day before you go to sleep turn on the dishwasher and empty it first thing in the morning.

3. Do the laundry. This is a daily must especially if you are living with your family. You could do this at the same time you turn on your dishwasher. So, before bed time, let the machines do the work for you.

4. Quick wiping of the bathroom. Kitchen and the bathroom are two of the most bacteria-friendly places in your home. You have to make sure to give your bathroom surfaces a quick wipe every single day. Using an all-purpose cleaner will do the job just fine.

5. Countertops must be clean. Each time you finish cooking, make it a habit to at least rinse those kitchen surfaces.

WEEKLY TASKS

1. Scrubbing the bathroom. At least once a week you must dedicate some more attention to properly cleaning your bathroom. If you can, try to rely on some natural products for disinfecting purposes, like baking soda, or white vinegar.

2. Vacuum and mop the floors. A lot of debris can be found laying around our floors that has been brought in through our shoes. Do the vacuuming first, then move on to mopping.

3. Do the dusting. However, when you do it, make sure you start from the top and move your way down to the bottom.

4. Changing the bedding should be on your weekly list. Our bodily fluids are all over the places, but they are mostly on the bedding.

5. Wipe down your kitchen appliances, including the microwave. There is a good trick for cleaning your microwave. Mix some white vinegar and water in a glass bowl, and put it in the microwave for 5 minutes (set the timer for 2 minutes, but leave the mixture inside for 3 more minutes to let the steam do its job).

MONTHLY TASKS

1. Dust your blinds and ceiling fans. If you can, try not to postpone this task. Once in a month is just enough, but do not make it once in 6 months.

2. Clean behind and under the furniture. Again, if you wait for more than one month, you are not doing your health a favor.

3. Clean the inside of your fridge. Before you do, of course, do the purge. See what goods have expired and toss them away.

4. Do the oven. People rarely clean the inside of their oven, but you should really consider turning it into a habit. Scrub it as much as you possibly can.

5. Clean your drains. Baking soda and vinegar are a match made in heaven when it comes to cleaning your drains.

YEARLY TASKS

1. Carpets and upholstery. At least once a year you should consider doing a deep clean of your carpets and upholstery.

2. Deep clean your windows. It would be great to clean your windows a bit more often than once a year, but this will also do.

3. Gutters. When seasons change, all kinds of things end up in our gutters. You do not want to make thing complicated for yourself, so it would be smart to clear them out at least once a year (fall time would be the best time).

Thehomemakersjournal.com shares a 5 day schedule and you can make a list like them:

1. Monday - Kitchen.
2. Tuesday - Bathroom.
3. Wednesday - Bedroom.
4. Thursday - Living room
5. Friday - Dining room.

Always try to organize your schedule by your likings. If having a whole year sorted out is too much for you, then choosing the second option will probably suit you better.

If you simply do not have the time for cleaning, or you do not want to be bothered by it, we understand. There are professionals out there that will do the job better than you would for a very reasonable price. Helpling.co.sg can provide you with some of the best maids in the business. So, go ahead and take a few days off, while your house gets rejuvenated by a professional.

Popular Tourist Destinations in Mexico and Where to Stay

by , in
Mexico, a federal republic in the southern portion of North America with Estados Únidos Mexicanos (United Mexican States) as the official name is covering almost two million square kilometers. Mexico is the sixth largest country in the Americas by total area and the 13th largest independent nation in the world.

Mexico is bounded by the Caribbean Ocean, the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico which is why its tourist industry is centered around the beach resorts. More and more resorts in and around the country have been gaining popularity to tourists which makes Mexico one of the most beautiful vacation spots in the world. The boost in tourism has also resulted in the booming industry of rentals in Mexico. Nowadays, there are actually thousands of villas and vacation rentals that can be found in Mexico. With those villas and vacation rentals, you can't only have room for your much-needed vacation but the whole house. Also, through rentals, you need not limit yourself when it comes to accommodation and of course, you can have a bigger place for a very affordable price.

Here are few of the most famous tourist spots in Mexico and where to stay.

Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, a Mexican beach resort city is the fifth largest city in the state of Jalisco, and the second largest urban agglomeration in the state. It is situated on the Pacific Ocean's Bahía de Banderas making it an attractive international resort destination.

Puerto Vallarta, once named as La ciudad más amigable del mundo  or The Friendliest City in the World, presents numerous sidewalk touts selling time-shares and tequila which render the city's atmosphere more akin to tourist-heavy resorts like Cancun and Acapulco.

Tourism in Puerto Vallarta makes up for 50% of the city's economic activity. The city is especially popular with US residents from the western U.S. and is also popular with tourists from western Canada.

Puerto Vallarta is a highly popular vacation spot for domestic tourists. It is a popular weekend destination for residents of Guadalajara and a popular national destination for vacations such as Semana Santa or Holy Week and Christmas.

When Puerto Vallarta has become a popular retirement destination for US and Canadian retirees, a condominium development boom in the city has spawned.

Rapid growth in tourist volume in Puerto Vallarta has given rise to rapid growth in hotel and rental apartment construction. The area is one of the fastest growing regions in the Americas.

The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is one of Puerto Vallarta's famous destinations and iconic landmarks. It was called "one of the most endearing" of the city's landmarks. Its foundation was said to have started in the early 1900s and it took more or less 50 years for the church to be finished including the "crown." This beautiful cathedral featuring its trademark crown of angels, is open daily, with services in English available on Saturdays and mass in both Spanish and English on Sundays.

Another tourist spot in Puerto Vallarta is the Galleria Dante. It is an art gallery where the newest in classical and contemporary sculptures of many talented artists can be viewed. This was opened in 1995 out of a family's passion for the arts. Near the gallery is a wine and tapas bar also owned by the family who established Galleria Dante.

Los Cabos

Los Cabos is a municipality located at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula. The area was remote and rural until the latter 20th century when the Mexican government began to develop Cabo San Lucas for tourism. The main draw is the climate and geography, where desert meets the sea, along with sport fishing, resorts, and golf. This tourism is by far the main economic activity with over two million visitors per year.

The municipality of Los Cabos is smaller than the other city but because of federal and private investments in tourism, its growth is now rivaling that of the more famous resort area.

This growth has been regulated to the outside of the town center, leaving the historic town center quiet and relatively unchanged. There are still cobblestone streets, adobe houses, jacaranda trees and a central square in front of a church that dates from the 1700s, where people still gather in the evening when it is cooler. A number of the large houses in the center date from the 19th century, and most of these have been converted into restaurants, art galleries and shops selling everything from fine handcrafts, silver, local gemstones and souvenirs. The art scene in the town is well-developed because of tourism and people with vacation homes.

The tourist area of the town is the area between the town proper and the shoreline featuring a nine-hole golf course and a line of hotels and resorts facing the ocean, which served over 900,000 hotel guests in 2011.

One of Los Cabos famous landmarks is El Faro Viejo. This Old Lighthouse was constructed more than 100 years ago. Today, little more than the actual base of the lighthouse remains, offering just a glimpse of what once stood here. Many tourists come here for the outstanding coastal views alone and also to visit the adjacent beach, where sea turtles are known to nest during their breeding season.

Bless Las Paellas, Opens its Doors in Laguna

by , in
For more than 300 years, the Philippine archipelago has been a colony of the Spaniards. They left influences in our traditions, culture, religion, beliefs, architecture, lifestyle and most of all food. The colonialism is part of our history and yes, most Filipinos learned to embrace up to these days the distinctive Spanish cuisine.

Bless Las Paellas, is one of the many proof of Spanish influence to the life of many Filipinos. Last October 15, 2017; this restaurant which specializes in Spanish food has opened its second branch in the south - at the Vista Mall Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.

To usher the opening of the new branch, a mass was held at the ground level of Vista Mall, just in front of the new store. It was attended by the owners of the food venture, business partners Jessie Maloles and Nelson Mendoza, their friends, family and selected members of the media.

The mass was followed by the blessing of the store.

After the blessing was a very entertaining program hosted by Ryan Tercero and Miss Philippines Earth 2013 Angelle Delos Reyes. There were dance performances from selected Flamenco dancers and from the kids of Quezon City Dance Sports Association.

Neil Perez, a pageant cop who was crowned Mr. International 2014, entertained the guests with a song number.

The highlight of the program was a fashion show featuring the stunning Spanish-inspired gowns created by Rye Baile and Marlo Javier. Models and beauty queens Bb. Pilipinas International 2001-Maricarl Tolosa, Miss Global Queen 2002 COX-JP Abinuman, April Tanhueco graced the show as they walked the ramp together with other models.

To cap the event off, guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner which included some of Bless Las Paellas best sellers.

 Churros

 Seafood Paella

Paella Negra

Bless Las Paellas restaurant showcases elegant and luxurious ambiance. The furniture and interior design of the store clearly shows that everything was carefully planned and selected to satisfy the senses of each and every customer dining in. But despite an extravagant image, the store offers affordable dishes that will surely salivate customers and patrons at an affordable price; combined with an excellent service from the staff. This place will certainly be another big hit for food lover and fine diners in the south.

Bless Las Paellas' long-term vision is to have more branches not only in Luzon but also in different parts of the country as far as in Mindanao.

Alden Richards and Safeguard Team up to Spread the Love and Remind the Importance of HandWashing

by , in
Proper handwashing protects against the spread of many illnesses - from the common cold which is responsible for 22 million lost school days each year; to more serious illnesses such as meningitis, flu, hepatitis A and most types of infectious bacteria.

This is why this message is worth repeating — hand washing is by far the best way to keep kids from getting sick and prevent the spread of germs.

To spread the message of love through handwashing, Philippines' Pambansang Bae, Alden Richards and Safeguard prepared a new song to remind each and every Filipinos the importance of proper handwashing.

In this year’s Global Handwashing Day celebration, Safeguard has partnered with one of the most prominent personalities in the country today to bring attention to the importance of proper and habitual handwashing. The nation’s leading soap together with the “Pambasang Bae” Alden Richards join forces to educate Filipinos on the importance of handwashing through the power of a song.

Alden himself sang the handwashing song and invites every Filipino to make it a habit to unfailingly wash their hands with Safeguard in these 5 “hugas non-negotiables” -- before “mano”, after using the toilet, before eating, after playing and before bonding. And more importantly, to spread the love and not the germs this holiday season.

If you’ve ever wondered the kind of impact personal hygiene really makes on the spread of germs and general health of the public, consider these sobering statistics gathered from the first Philippines Handwashing Index, a breakthrough study recently commissioned by the nation’s leading soap brand, Safeguard.

It has been discovered that Filipinos touch more than 23 other people per day, summing up to more than 90 ‘touches’ a day on average. However, they wash our hands only 5 times a day! There are other shocking findings that show opportunities for improvement on handwashing habits particular on specific occasions:

After using the toilet:
7 out of 10 Filipinos CLAIM to wash their hands after using the toilet but—ONLY 2 out of 10 really do.
A shocking 64% of Filipinas DO NOT wash their hands at all after using a mall toilet.

Before eating and cooking
It was observed that 60% of females washed their hands with water ONLY before cooking.
Before feeding the kids, 40% washed their hands with water ONLY.

Before and after bonding:
80% of Filipinos DO NOT wash their hands after shaking hands with another person
40% of Filipinos DO NOT wash their hands before touching young children

After playing or travelling
49% DO NOT wash their hands after using their mobile phones
50% DO NOT wash their hands after traveling on public transportation

If these statistics seem particularly innocuous, keep in mind that one of the fastest ways to spread germs and diseases is by human contact and ingesting contaminated food. Clearly, Filipinos haven’t nurtured the habit of proper hand washing, and based on statistics, a great number do not care. There’s a great opportunity to educate citizens that washing hands with soap can effectively remove disease-causing germs and is the most basic way to prevent oneself from getting sick.

Did you know that 1.5 million children around the world die every year due to diarrhea? As shocking as it may seem, diarrhea is the second most common cause of death among kids. UNICEF has declared that pneumonia takes the lives 1.8 million children globally each year. Furthermore, in a study done by DOH locally, it has been found out that pneumonia is the number one cause of death among Filipino children of age 1-14 years. Believe it or not, the simple habit of proper handwashing with an anti-bacterial soap can be an effective way of reducing these incidents.

Bawat hugas, dapat Safeguard hugas

With the arrival of the ber months, these facts will become even more worrisome. The holidays mean more frequent gatherings with friends and family—and with it, the chances of you spreading germs to others increase.

“The results of the Philippine Handwashing Index indicate that Filipinos clearly haven’t nurtured the habit of proper handwashing. Which is why, Safeguard continues to take active steps to spread awareness on its relevance specifically through the Global Handwashing Day and through the new handwashing song with Alden Richards,” explains Jia Salindong- Du, Safeguard Philippines Brand Manager.

Ultimately, this is a call for every Filipino to do their part in promoting handwashing to keep everyone healthy and protected from germs throughout this season. Make it a habit to wash your hands with Safeguard in these 5 “hugas non-negotiables” -- before “mano”, after using the toilet, before eating, after playing and before bonding.

Share the newest Safeguard handwashing song led by Alden to remind your friends and family about the significance of handwashing especially during the Christmas season:
