Gravity Co. Ltd. is Launching Ragnarok Journey Philippines, the re-imagined Ragnarok Online

I remember sometime in 2002, Ragnarok Online was launched in the Philippines. I have no idea about MMORPG that time since I was never a techie nor a gamer. But the moment this online game hits the country, I got hooked on it - we (my husband who was my then boyfriend) were actually hooked! Perhaps Ragnarok Online Philippines has been the most popular and most-loved game online and even offline during that time. But the online experience is, of course, a lot better because you got to interact with other players from other parts of the country. ROPh that time is like a social media, and just like any social media platforms; it has also been our way of life that from the moment we wake up to the moment we sleep, it's there in our system.

But just like any other things on Earth, Ragnarok in the country came to its dawn but the best memories of the friendship that was built through role-playing remained...

By the mid of 2017, Ragnarok Online returned in the Philippines, but this time, it's no longer me or my husband who plays, but our kids who continue the legacy...

Until I received an invitation to join the grand launch of Ragnarok Journey in the Philippines last November 12, 2017. Being an avid player, I never had any second thought. I was excited, for it would bring back all those happy and fun memories the very first Ragnarok Online brought me - the siege, the Pvp, the boss hunts and my RO merchandise collections.

The grand party for the arrival of Ragnarok Journey in the Philippines happened at the Glorietta Activity Center in November 12, 2017. It was hosted by Gravity Co. Ltd., publisher of various highly acclaimed online games.

Ragnarok Journey is based on the popular MMORPG Ragnarok Online which we used to play 15 years ago. It is a browser MMORPG where players can battle against colorful monsters, gain new abilities and participate in quests in a fantasy world. It's a game everyone can play anytime, anywhere, without the need to download and install a client!

Aimed at casual gamers, Ragnarok has been re-imagined in an all-new convenient AI-assisted adventure style which makes griding and leveling up easier. Battle monsters throughout the world of Rune Midgard and use your skills to traverse through new dungeons and zones.

Here's what different about Ragnarok Journey:

• Autoplay feature. Turn it on and your character goes full auto mode killing monsters and looting. 
• Players can choose a specialized class such as Mage or Swordsman at level 10.
• Characters can accumulate new abilities by manually adding skill points and unleash devastating attacks on a menagerie of colorful fantasy monsters, the same model used in the classic Ragnarok Online.
• Undertake quests from NPCs and enjoy daily rewards, just like the great MMORPGs.

Casual and hardcore gamers alike, enthusiasts, and long-time Ragnarok fans, from different parts of the country, were gathered together in the highly anticipated event. Attendees participated in the various programs where they won awesome freebies and exclusive Ragnarok Journey premium items. 

The grand party was hosted by GMA talents Bentong Sumaya and Arianne Bautista. 

Gamers also got the chance to bag major prizes such as Personal Computer gaming peripherals from Red Dragon, an ASUS Republic of Gamers laptop, and a brand new motorcycle. 

It also featured a cosplay competition that brought out the passion of everyone for Ragnarok. Popular bands such as Gracenote and 6cyclemind were also present to entertain the audience.

This comeback of MMORPGs in the Philippines will surely excite gamers from all parts of the country and I too, am super excited to play this game that I considered truly legendary...
