D’ Intervention 2025: Slaysian Royale Viewing Party Shines Spotlight on Asian Drag Queens and Filipino Pride

Last August 13, Adonis Production and Chyvents Group proudly staged the much-anticipated return of D’ Intervention, one of the Philippines’ biggest and boldest Drag Race Philippines viewing parties. Held at the Matrix Events Venue in Quezon City, this year’s celebration went beyond entertainment, becoming a cultural milestone for queer pride and Asian representation on the global stage.

For 2025, the event leveled up into D’ Intervention: Slaysian Royale, a spectacular celebration that spotlighted Asian queens in the RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise. More than just a gathering of fans, it became a proud moment of visibility for Filipino and Asian drag performers, cementing the Philippines’ place in the international drag community.

Slaysian Royale: A Celebration of Asian Drag Artistry

This year’s viewing party was extra special as it coincided with Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale, the first season in the global Drag Race franchise to feature an all-Asian cast. The night was headlined by Filipino drag powerhouses Brigiding and Viñas Deluxe from Adonis Productions, who waved the Philippine flag proudly alongside Asian queens representing diverse cultural backgrounds.

The cast lineup featured:

Arizona Brandy, Bernie, and Khianna – Filipino queens bringing local flair and fire.

Ivory Glaze (Chinese-Australian, Drag Race Down Under Season 3)

Kitty Space (Vietnamese-French, Drag Race France Season 2)

Madame Yoko (Vietnamese-Luxembourgish, Drag Race Belgium Season 2)

Siam Phusri (Thailand, Drag Race Thailand)

Suki Doll (French-Canadian, Drag Race Canada Season 2)

Sum Ting Wong (Chinese-Vietnamese, Drag Race UK Season 1)

Yuhua Hamasaki (Chinese-American, RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10)

This diverse cast represented the strength, artistry, and visibility of Asian drag talent. Each performance was a celebration not just of drag as entertainment, but also of drag as cultural expression, activism, and resilience.

Beyond the Glamour: A Movement for Queer Pride

The event wasn’t just a night of performances and viewing. #DIntervention2025 became a space of affirmation for the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community, a gathering where queer voices were amplified, celebrated, and embraced. At a time when queer individuals still fight for safe and inclusive spaces in the Philippines, events like these provide a much-needed platform for representation.

On premiere night, the spotlight shone not only on the queens but also on the entire community who showed up to celebrate visibility and pride. Iconic performances lit up the stage with Brigiding, Viñas Deluxe, and Ivory Glazedelivering unforgettable numbers. The crowd roared as the Philippines’ own Drag Race champions—Precious Paula Nicole (Season 1), Captivating Katkat (Season 2), and Maxie Andreison (Season 3)—took part in the night’s festivities as special guests and judges.

The result was a historic, colorful, and unapologetically queer moment in Philippine drag culture—one that fans will remember for years to come.

What’s Next for D’ Intervention?

Following its successful premiere, D’ Intervention will continue with more viewing parties at Rampa Drag Club in Quezon City, bringing fans and queens together in ongoing celebrations of drag, artistry, and pride.

As drag culture continues to thrive in the Philippines, D’ Intervention: Slaysian Royale will be remembered not only as a watch party but as a movement—a powerful declaration of Asian excellence, queer pride, and the unstoppable rise of drag in mainstream Filipino culture.
