Far from being just another contest, the SOGO DANCE REVOLUTION is envisioned as a movement of expression and inclusivity, encouraging groups of four to eight members, aged 18 and above, to bring their talent to the digital stage. It is Hotel Sogo’s boldest campaign yet, reflecting its commitment to engaging communities and empowering the youth through fun, meaningful, and creative opportunities.
“We want to highlight the real dance talent of the Filipino people—those who bring energy, rhythm, and positive spirit wherever they go,” shared Ms. Sue Geminiano, Marketing Manager of Hotel Sogo. “This contest allows groups to bond, express themselves, and possibly win big while doing something they love.”
A Digital-First Dance Challenge
To join, participants must submit a 30–60 second dance video that highlights original, creative, and family-friendly choreography. Entries must be uploaded on TikTok, Facebook, or Instagram with the caption:
“We’re joining the SOGO DANCE REVOLUTION! Support our entry by liking and sharing!
#SogoDanceRevolution #HotelSogo #SogoDanceShowdown”
Groups are required to tag @hotelsogo, set the video to public, and ensure that all members follow Hotel Sogo’s official social media accounts. An online registration form or QR code, available in all Hotel Sogo branches nationwide, must also be completed.
The deadline for submission is September 5, 2025, giving aspiring dance groups ample time to prepare their entries and gather online support.
Judging, Criteria, and the Grand Finals
All valid entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Dance Skills & Choreography – 40%
Social Media Engagement – 30%
Creativity & Overall Look – 20%
Confidence & Energy – 10%
Finalists will be selected and invited to compete in a Grand Finals Showdown, where they will perform live before a panel of celebrity judges and a cheering live audience.
Winners will take home cash prizes, staycation perks, and the title of Grand Champion, with the possibility of becoming an official brand ambassador of Hotel Sogo. Additionally, one group will be recognized with a Special Award for Most Engaged Group, determined by their social media reach and virality.
