The huge number of existing insurance companies in the country has liberated Pinoys' perception of insurance. This is why, in 2018 out of an estimated 105 million Filipinos, around 50 percent are reported to have life insurance coverage.
While various insurance companies have paved the way to a more secure future for the Filipinos, choosing the right plan and finding the one that really fits our needs also become overwhelming and oftentimes hard and troublesome.
This is why there is a need to raise awareness about different insurance companies and the products and services they offer, just like what Country Bankers Insurance Group (CBIG) is doing.
In the blog con organized by the CBIG, they made it very simple for the participants to understand the importance of insurance whether life or non-life. Through a game similar to the Millionaire's Game, participants have had on-hand experience on the importance of being insured - be it life or non-life.
The game started by grouping the participants into 6 and they were given the capital they will use to buy and/or invest. In every round, there will be a specific kind of situation that will affect the status of each group's investments such as personal accidents, natural calamities, economic disturbances and more. The fate of each group depends on how smart they are in investing, securing their investments and being a responsible citizen by paying their taxes on time.
Being a freelancer, the activity gave me a better mindset on how insurance really affects our day to day lives. Money depreciates if not invested in wisely. Alongside every investment, there should be insurance so it is protected whatever happens the next day. Of course, life should be insured, too; as it is the most precious investment we have.
CBIG, CBLIC and CBIC are brands that I have just heard of, but the years they have spent in the business is long enough to prove that they deliver what they promised. Being a brand of our own, Filipinos must not hesitate to give it a try especially now that they are trying to reach the grassroots where the very foundation of the country's economy is hidden.
The game clearly emphasized how insurance can give a worry-free life. One big question now is how affordable are insurances? Can a simple construction worker or a farmer who earns very little afford to buy a plan to secure their future?
Worry no more as Country Bankers Life Insurance Corporation (CBLIC) was established out of the need to cater to an unserved segment of the insurance market. CBLIC responds to the needs of small and medium business entrepreneurs, farmers, fishermen, and public school teachers in rural areas, a market that had been untapped in the 1960s.
Today, with 55 strong years as a reliable insurer, CBLIC remains true to its promise to give Filipinos simple, straightforward, and non-intimidating insurance options in the countryside through partner banks.
Apart from CBLIC, Country Bankers Insurance Corporation (CBIC) is another CBIG subsidiary offering a variety of insurance products that gives protection to properties and assets for 60 years now. CBIC, one of the country’s leading affordable insurance companies, continues to improve the quality and scope of insurance and provide affordable options that fit various lifestyles. Staying true to its promise to be relevant yet affordable, Country Bankers’ scope of benefits and coverage carries benefits that can compete with other insurers.
