Bambu by Chef Abe, more than just a local Cafe' and Bar for the family

A business made out of love and passion for the family is really admirable. Nothing is more stable than the business built with trust from each of the member of the family.

This is exactly the story behind Bambu Cafe by Chef Abe.

Lush green, serene, welcoming place at the heart of Tanauan City Batangas

The place used to be a rest house, a vacation spot intended for the family and their close friends and relatives. This is where the family spend summer and celebrate victories and milestones in their life. Or when they simply want to take a break from the citylife, this is where they spend the a day or two.

Inspired by Chef Abe's grandparents who were his mentor in cooking at his young age, he decided to put up Bambu to incorporate all his culinary knowledge in the place dearest to his heart. There maybe a lot of places to choose from, especially business districts and urban areas where businesses are more promising, but he chose this place in Tanauan City Batangas because this is their heritage and this is where the influence of his family lies.

Bambu Cafe' by Chef Abe offers Asian and American cuisine

He opened their homey place to the public so they will be inspired too, of what family solidarity is all about.

There's actually more to Bambú than just a cafe' and bar offering Asian and American cuisine supervised by two chefs. It is also an events place and resort - a private modernized farm built for the perfect outdoor and indoor dining experience. The place is surrounded by bamboo trees - planted by Chef Abe's Lolo - where family, friends, and loved ones can enjoy the spacious ambience and the fresh air. Bambu is indeed a perfect getaway for any special occasion, and holiday getaways.

Bambú is a family-owned business not only known for its exclusivity, but also for its delicacies such as Tahong Sisig, Hamonado Crispy Pata, Garlic Rose Mary Pork Ribs, and Kalabasa Cheesecake. It’s a farm to table restaurant by Chef Abe, a graduate from Enderun Colleges and Chef Ariel Atienza, a local chef who worked at a 5-star hotel in Saudi Arabia so you can be sure every dish on the menu is carefully and meticulously prepared and cooked.

They take pride with their authentic dishes - from the name to the ingredients; and some dish incorporates bamboo in it such as the Bambu Los Fideos.

Here are some of the must-try :

Beef Caldereta - tender beef cubes, well-seasoned sauce

One-of-a-kind, ingenious recipe - Tahong Sisig

Hearty, healthy Kalabasa Cheesecake

Bambu also features a small chapel and an events place that can accommodate up tp 350 persons at a time. Guests may also check in to their fully aircon cabanas or enjoy a dip in the pool. Chef Abe is very positive that Bambu will soon be among the country's top destinations for a family getaway. He also plans to make the place more sustainable by introducing organic farming within the place.
