Acer Expands Vero Line with Eco-Friendly LED Projectors

Acer has expanded its eco-conscious Vero product line with the introduction of two new projectors, the Acer Vero PD2528ic and the Acer Vero PD2328. Tailored for both businesses and consumers, these projectors promise high-performance, energy-efficient technology, making them ideal choices for anyone seeking to minimize their ecological impact while enjoying superior visual experiences.

Unmatched Image Quality with Gen 4 LED Technology

At the heart of the Acer PD2 Series projectors is the advanced Gen 4 LED light source, which significantly boosts brightness by up to 18.5% compared to earlier models. This improvement translates to an impressive light output of up to 3,700 ANSI lumens, making these projectors suitable for various settings, including home theaters and meeting rooms. With support for 120% of the REC 709 color space, the PD2 Series offers a color performance that outshines traditional lamp-based projectors by providing 1.5 times wider coverage. Coupled with a 0.65-inch DMD chip, these projectors achieve dynamic contrast ratios of up to 50,000:1, ensuring vibrant visuals and excellent image quality even in low-light environments.

The Acer Vero PD2328 features WXGA resolution (1280x800) with a 16:10 aspect ratio, delivering 3,700 lumens of brightness. In contrast, the Acer Vero PD2528ic offers FHD resolution (1920x1080) in a 16:9 aspect ratio with a brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens. Equipped with Acer LumiSense technology, these projectors enhance content clarity in dark settings. Advanced color technologies, including Acer ColorPurity+, ColorBoostLED, and ColorSafe II, ensure consistently vivid colors, while LED Color Saturation aids in achieving true-to-life color balance. Additionally, Acer’s BluelightShield technology mitigates potential blue light exposure, providing protection against eye strain and damage.

Eco-Friendly and Economically Sound

Acer's commitment to sustainability is evident in the design of the Vero projectors, which incorporate Acer EcoProjection technology to significantly reduce power consumption and replacement costs. These projectors automatically enter Eco mode, dimming the light source to 60% when no input signal is detected, and will shut down safely after a period of inactivity. With a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, they are both lamp-free and mercury-free, enhancing energy efficiency by up to 42% compared to traditional lamp-based models. Additionally, 50% of the chassis is made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, and the packaging is 100% recyclable.

Enhanced Usability and Functionality

The PD2 Series projectors are lightweight and compact, weighing just 2.6 kg and measuring 11.8 inches in width, making them easy to position in various settings. The Vero PD2528ic also boasts built-in wireless projection and screen mirroring capabilities, allowing users to seamlessly connect smartphones or PCs without needing extra applications.

Designed for durability, both projectors can sustain 24 hours of continuous operation, making them suitable for public displays or museum exhibitions. They also feature a built-in 10 W speaker, eliminating the need for additional audio equipment. Furthermore, HDMI 3D support enhances the viewing experience, providing depth and engaging stereoscopic visuals.

Installation is a breeze thanks to features like Auto Keystone Correction, which automatically rectifies vertical distortions, and an Auto Ceiling Mount gravity sensor that adjusts projected images based on their orientation.

Lower Total Cost of Ownership

Acer’s Vero LED projectors offer a lower total cost of ownership compared to traditional lamp-based models. By eliminating the need for lamp replacements, these projectors reduce long-term operational costs. Their sealed engine design protects internal components from dust, minimizing cleaning and repair expenses.
