Acer Unveils New Swift Copilot+ Laptops with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 Processors

Acer has unveiled the new Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI Copilot+ laptops, featuring the cutting-edge Intel® Core™ Ultra processors (Series 2). These sleek, high-performance laptops are designed to handle AI-intensive tasks with ease, delivering up to 48 Trillions of Operations Per Second (TOPS) in neural processing unit (NPU) AI performance. As Acer’s first models with the new Intel Core Ultra processors, they promise enhanced functionality for next-generation AI workloads.

James Lin, General Manager of Notebooks at Acer Inc., highlighted the significance of this launch, noting that the Swift Copilot+ models are set to improve the way customers work, learn, and manage their daily activities. Intel’s Michelle Johnston Holthaus echoed this sentiment, emphasizing how the new laptops meet the modern demands of performance, battery life, and security, all while harnessing AI to boost productivity.

Both the Swift 14 AI (SF14-51/T) and Swift 16 AI (SF16-51/T) offer advanced AI processing capabilities powered by the Intel Core Ultra processors. These devices efficiently manage tasks by optimizing CPU performance, utilizing Intel® Arc™ graphics, and leveraging next-generation NPU technology for fast and efficient AI-based creations. They are designed to handle generative AI tasks seamlessly, ensuring a smooth and powerful user experience.

The laptops are also equipped with robust security features, including biometric login options and hardware-level security through the Intel® Partner Security Engine. Microsoft's Pluton security processor adds another layer of protection, making these laptops secured-core PCs. Additionally, Acer’s User Sensing technology enables advanced presence detection, automatically locking and waking the laptop based on user proximity.

In terms of design, the Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI combine premium aesthetics with functional features. Their aluminum chassis is enhanced with an iridescent icon, while the touchpad features an AI Activity Indicator that illuminates when the NPU or Copilot is in use. The devices are engineered for easy one-hand opening, thanks to a 180-degree hinge, and are highly portable due to their slim and lightweight design. Both models feature vibrant OLED displays with a 90 Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 color accuracy, and HDR TrueBlack 500 certification, ensuring stunning visuals. The Swift 14 AI offers a choice between 14-inch 3K or 2K OLED displays, while the Swift 16 AI sports a 16-inch 3K OLED panel.

Acer has integrated several AI-driven applications, including AcerSense for quick access to AI features, and Acer Assist, which helps with troubleshooting and secure document management.
