This initiative is part of Canon’s ongoing “Print Your Way to A+” campaign, which aims to empower students by giving them access to tools that promote both academic success and financial practicality. As part of the campaign’s 2025 rollout, Canon announced substantial reductions in the prices of its ink bottles, making routine printing tasks significantly more affordable for students and their families. Additionally, Canon introduced an expanded rewards program designed to maximize savings and enhance the overall student experience.
Through the Canon Rewards Program, students can now redeem points for Giftaway e-gift certificates, which are accepted at over 400 partner merchants nationwide. This offers students a tangible return on their printing expenses, extending benefits beyond classroom materials to daily living costs. Canon executives demonstrated how students can seamlessly track and redeem their points through the Canon mobile app, underscoring the brand’s focus on convenience, accessibility, and real-life utility.
During the event, representatives from the media and student leaders from leading academic institutions participated in hands-on demonstrations of Canon’s PIXMA and MAXIFY MegaTank printers. They were able to experience firsthand key features tailored for student needs—such as wireless connectivity, compact space-saving designs, duplex (two-sided) printing for reduced paper use, and high-yield ink tanks for long-lasting performance. Notably, Canon’s MAXIFY MegaTank printers boast an impressive page yield of up to 21,000 color pages or 9,000 black pages in economy mode, making them ideal for high-volume academic use.
Anuj Aggarwal, President and CEO of Canon Marketing Philippines, emphasized the company’s understanding of the evolving challenges faced by students today. “We recognize that students are under increasing academic pressure while having to manage limited resources,” he shared. “With this back-to-school campaign, we aim to directly connect with students and provide them with cost-efficient and reliable tools that enhance their academic journey—from basic document printing to creative projects and everything in between.”
To further incentivize purchases, Canon announced a special Ink Bundle Promo available until September 30, 2025. Under this promo, select PIXMA MegaTank printer models (G2730, G3730, G4770, G3780, and G4780) will come bundled with a free set of GI-71s inks—an offer that combines practicality with significant cost savings.
Canon’s commitment to student welfare was further reflected through the presence of Riyan Portuguez, a licensed psychologist and online influencer known as "Your Millennial Psychologist." Her talk on mental wellness and academic resilience resonated with the event's theme of holistic student support. By incorporating mental health discussions into its campaigns, Canon demonstrated a broader understanding of what it means to truly empower students—not just through technology, but through emotional and psychological support as well.
