SM Supermalls, in partnership with Mesa ni Misis, celebrated Nutrition Month with a bang through the healthiest SuperMoms Meetup held at the SM Megamall Event Atrium on July 22, Saturday. The event was a gathering of SuperMoms, marking the biggest and grandest super momma convention, and coincided with the launch of Juana's Table, the newest recipe book authored by Mesa ni Misis' very own Juana Manahan Yupangco.
Grace Magno, SM Supermalls Vice President for Corporate Marketing, emphasized the power of SuperMoms in shaping the future health of their children. By embracing a plant-based diet and introducing it to their families, SuperMoms can ensure that their little ones grow up strong, vibrant, and equipped with the tools for a healthy and fulfilling life.
The collaboration between SM Supermalls and Mesa ni Misis, as showcased in the recipe book, aimed to educate moms about the importance of healthy and sustainable eating. Authored by Juana Manahan Yupangco, a champion of food security and advocate for local produce and farmers, the book offers a plethora of healthy and affordable meal options that moms can easily whip up in their own kitchens using fresh produce available at the SM Sunday Market.
The event featured a cooking demonstration by Juana Manahan Yupangco, joined by celebrities and certified SuperMoms, Dimples Romana and Patti Grandidge Herrera. Together, they prepared a veggie gimbap using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, highlighting how effortlessly a delicious and nutritious meal can be created for the entire family using the recipes from the book. Additionally, moms were introduced to the concept of sustainability in the household through cooking.
The SuperMoms Meetup was not short on exciting activities for the attendees. Participants had the opportunity to strike a pose at the SuperMoms Club Photo Wall, capturing precious moments with their goodie bags, and they were also part of a thrilling raffle draw where lucky SuperMoms won special prizes and awesome surprises from partners and sponsors.
The SuperMoms Club was established by SM Supermalls in 2018 and has grown into the Philippines' largest mommy community on Facebook. The SuperMoms Meetup, an on-ground event, has proven to be an avenue for building a strong community of inspiring women and super mommas who uplift, support, and encourage one another.
Juana Manahan Yupangco expressed her dedication to the well-being of SuperMoms, assuring them that the meetup was designed with their needs in mind.
